I’m a Cisco voice engineer. Part of my job is migrating phones from unsupported phones to supported phones. I need a light weight easy solution to use with my iPhone to scan MAC address directly into CUCM MAC address field. This device is perfect for doing just that. Enabled the Bluetooth, connected to iPhone and I was almost ready for phone migration. The device defaults settings is scan + enter. I needed scan + tab. The code for setting that function did not come with the provided quick start guide so I contacted support and the response was fast with the code I needed to set the setting for scan+tab. In addition support provided other useful functions that I thought was very considerate and thoughtful. 5 star and highly recommend this item.

Range is decent, scanning is pretty accurate, it works well overall. Just be careful with the dongle especially if you leave it in a laptop or other environment where any kind of impact may occur as it is quite easy to damage the internal antenna from board stress. Something to note is that it will not charge if the power switch (more accurately the "battery connect" switch) is in the Off position, so if you plug it in and you find it seems to not be charging check that switch first.

I recently bought this scanner to add to our office's growing collection of Scan Avenger scanners. It is a great little unit that works perfectly. Period, end of story. However, if you've ever worked on developing custom documents and forms with barcodes for data entry, etc. you probably know that it can be a little fidgety: which codes to use, and how to program the scanner to read them correctly. This is where Scan Avenger's customer service comes into play for me. THEY ARE AMAZING! They are super prompt and very helpful. Just send them an email and you will receive a helpful response in short order, like within an hour or two. Also, as a developer I appreciate that they offer an "advanced user manual" for download with complete programming instructions, etc. If you are only a basic user, the quick start materials in the box will do. But advanced users will find the expanded manual very useful. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

This works great and saved me hours when doing my inventory at work. If the barcode is on a faded surface or behind something shiny like tape, it can have some difficulty reading the code. But with some but if your try different angles it will read it. And it can be useful to see what a QR code says. (which helped me get on the WiFi at a few places.) And i can use it to quickly look up or find a book i would like to read as well. Overall i like to keep this is my pocket more than i admit. Dialing in the exact settings you want may take a bit of research, but I'm a techie so this was easy for me.

I've been using this to scan IMEI and sim numbers of of cellphones and tablets. I mostly use it with the dongle but have used the Bluetooth option and have not had an issues. The one problem I did have was when there were multiple barcodes close together. You have to aim it but it doesn't put out a laser line when you push the button it lights up with an LED and then there's a red light in the middle you have to line up. Overall works perfect for me

No need to bring a laptop. You can use Excel or a spreadsheet app on your smartphone to scan everything you need without wire. It can read most barcodes that are damaged while other scanner models can't read.

From the first impression, I was very surprised by this barcode scanner. I am surprised by how solid this little bar code reader is. Very good quality. I like simple things that work easily and understandably. This scanner is one such piece. You can simply start using it quickly. You don't need any special application, just follow the instructions in the description. For me, it was very surprising that I could scan everything with it. I thought he wouldn't be able to do that. So this will come in handy for me as an entrepreneur in the future. We can choose between several storage and scanning methods. What is right for whom for their purposes. This small handheld reader is just excellent. It's easy to use and easy to carry around (on your belt if you want to as it has a lanyard). It connects to its own little USB receiver with no problem and has a good range; I have been routinely using it fully ten feet away from its receiver and it works reliably. Reads QR and bar codes without any problem, comes with good documentation and you can set it to bip or not when it scans something successfully. Battery life is good and really there is nothing about it that I don't like.

Quick and easy to set up. Connects to the network and works seamlessly without issue. It hasn't struggled to read any codes thus far.

Great bar code scanner. Works as described for both traditional barcodes and QR codes. Wireless connection through Bluetooth or included USB dongle. Tested device on Android phone and on MacBook computer and it works just fine. When connecting to Android phone, you want to go into Keyboard Settings and set On-screen Keyboard to be active even when bluetooth keyboard is connected. The reason is that Android OS sees this device as a keyboard (which is what you want), but then you don't have a way to enter information manually unless you allow on-screen keyboard to always show up even when bluetooth keyboard is connected.

It came on time but doesn’t work

If you are a heavy PC user like me then a QR code scanner such as this comes in handy. It seems like phones have had the ability to scan codes for ever but this functionality on PC was very limited so this does a fairly good job. I've tried scanning a few different types of codes with mixed results. It handles regular QR codes very well for example it scans the QR code on my Victron Phoenix 12/250W inverters case ust fine and shows me the web link to Victrons homepage. You need to place the scanner close to the code you want to scan then press the trigger. You can then paist the contents into Notepad or Word. In my case, this was literally plug and play I'm running Windows 11 Insider Dev builds on my Surface Go 2 so the scanner worked perfectly fine. The included user guide is fairly comprehensive and goes through a lot of detail how to get the most out of this scanner as well as explaining various geeky settings you can alter through its device manager page for those of you that are feeling adventerous but for your average user it will work fine with most types of bar codes and QR codes but your milage will vary.

This is a cleverly designed gizmo. Modifications and actions controlled by its own set of bar codes provided on plastic cards. And it works great and made well

this item has a nice weight to it and feels very comfortable in my hand. really good and simple to use if you have a small business. has a few features that i would never need to use but maybe in the future that could change and id be ready with this. reasonable price for what you get and it feels like itll work for a long time to come.

Really handy little mini bar-code scanner which is much better for taking out and about with you/ on the go and keeping to hand compared to the bigger ones with the same decent features and quality as expected/found in the larger ScanAvenger models. Really happy with it, really easy to set and use and works perfectly with no issues so far so would definitely recommend.

I been having it for about a month used it maybe 10 times now it doesn't work and it's passed the return period

Did not have a linier option when scanning. Not able to scan when you have several bars next to each other.

Plug and play and so much more than just a scanner, will need to use the instruction primer with bar code to set up but it has many handy function for door maning at events and stock inventry etc. At work we have to issue a lot of test kits and hand writing all the 16 digital codes correctly are just impossible. This little device allows us to scan the QR code on customer's phones and auto type into spreadsheet via the bluetooth donge, plug and play without installing any software. Battery last for many hours and it can be used while plugged into a power bank if battery runs out. We also tested out the storage mode where there is no computer within bluetooth range, it stores all the code scanned and upload when you are in range and scan the upload barcode on the primer.

This scanner is great for keeping in your work bag or for scanning stock on shelves. It’s small and lightweight and you can keep it in your pocket. It’s not as easy to set up as my standard barcode scanner but it’s okay as long as you follow the instructions (don’t throw away the instructions as you may need them again!). It was accurate and responsive so I was pleased with the results.

Even if you try you won't be able to find a bad word about this brand or scanner. It’s a palm size wireless barcode scanner. It was like feeling nothing when you hold on hand. It is rechargeable and the battery did last long. It is a plug and go device which need no software at all. I have tried QR code and barcode to scan and it works perfectly well. Useful for inventory taking. I find it very useful and worth buying.

This is just a really good little barcode scanner. How they have come on through the years is amazing. This is top quality scanner and does it’s job perfectly. Which this would be ideal for likes of price checking, stock managing and loads more purposes. Very happy indeed and comes complete with easy to use settings just simply scan them out the book included.

I love this brilliant scanner. So easy to set up and use! Connection was instant. It interacts directly with your stock software (I have been using it to scan and list CDs on music magpie). No setting up needed really, it is just plug and play. Not needed to charge batteries yet after 2 evenings of scanning, so very impressive. Does QR codes as well, so useful! 5 stars.

This barcode scanner is very small and compact, the trigger button is on the flat part of the body and there are lights to indicate the status of the device. The button is easy to press, not as ergonomic as gun trigger type but not bad at all. The scanner charges using USB-A to USB-C cable, easy and quick. Battery seems to last very long, been using it for a few days 15 minutes or so a day without having to charge yet. It is compatible with most 1D and 2D barcode formats, which covers most of the people's needs. The hand strap comes with the device is rather small, I can only fit a few fingers in it but not a big problem. I tried connecting this with my iphone. I first scanned the bluetooth pairing barcode on the quick start leaflet, the scanner then flashes with blue lights and appears in my bluetooth menu. As soon as it is paired, it works straightaway. I tried a few barcodes using iphone Numbers, works just like Excel. the scanning is quick, text appears on my phone instantly. you do have to hold the trigger and adjust the distance to the barcode at times, but not any different from the gun trigger type scanner I have used. There are cards containing the essential useful functions such as Add Enter, Add Tab, Sound on, Sound off...etc. which are enough in most inventory logging situations. For comprehensive instructions and to unleash the full function, you will need to email the company for a digital copy of the full menu (free). Price-wise this is selling at just over £30, which is an absolute bargain for such a small scanner that can fit in pocket and can do pretty much everything a big one can. Highly recommend for small businesses.

I received this barcode scanner as part of the Amazon Vine programme. In return for a fair and honest review. This barcode scanner has proved to be ideal for my brother who had decided to open up his own online business during the second lockdown, to make some extra money. He had been using the scanner on his mobile phone, but it was really time consuming and far from accurate. This scanner has proved to be the opposite. It's light and extremely portable. He keeps it in his pocket in between scans and that is really useful as it means he can take it out whenever he is and is using it within seconds. The accuracy of it is very impressive and it reads the barcode first time 99% of the time. One of the most impressive aspects of this scanner is that it works really well even in poor lighting conditions. That was one of the main issues he had with using his mobile as a scanner. He tends to do most of the scanning at night and doesn't want all the house lights on bright as people are sleeping. So a lot of the time it was taking several scans to pick up the barcode. This scanner works really well in the same low light conditions, so that has saved him a lot of time now. The battery life is good and doesn't take long to fully charge the scanner. Done so via USB. Overall, it's a great scanner that's extremely reliable and very accurate.

This ScanAvenger handheld portable mini-wireless Bluetooth barcode scanner looks and feels well made from a good quality materials. It arrived with a user guide, which is very long and quite complicated, but luckily it is quite straightforward to use for me as I had a similar device in the past. It is comfortable to grip and hold even for longer. Light and portable, mini size - exactly as per listing description, but works like similar bigger devices. It is rechargeable and holds the charge well. I'm usising it for the second week now and it is still on its first charge. I like that in order to use it I didn't have to install any software or app. The Bluetooth connection is pretty stable, so it is reliable device. It works well with my laptop and android mobile phone. Mini device with many options to choose from, codes could be uploaded straight to the connected device or kept in memory if offline. Very clever design. It has light, beep and vibration modes which can be deactivated if not needed. It helps me with the inventory, making the whole process much faster and easier. It scans/recognises well different codes, even those 'old' or 'tired ' ones and off screen. Firmware is good, but not perfect, but I'm not sure if updates will be available. Excellent pocket size device, let down a bit by things which can be easily fixed/improved, works as it should, so I would happily recommend it.

This device is great. It works exactly as intended, has a useful white light, a beeper and vibration that can be turned off independently, and can read fine off screens. And of course, the big one for me, is that it recharges via USB-C, not some ethernet style port like my old scanner, or even worse, Micro USB. Sadly, it's let down by the documentation. The online copy of the manual is very extensive at 123 pages, but it is laid out poorly, some things are explained badly, and there's a lot of white space. The manual could probably be 50 pages or less. However more annoying, is that they include two plastic cards, like a credit card, one of which has quick codes on it. There's a code to change to storage mode (and back), a code to upload the data, but they've missed the code to clear the data, which I must refer to the smaller included paper manual or the online manual for. The strap is also too small to fit over my hand and cannot be adjusted, but it can be removed and swapped out. The device also takes too long to start and doesn't make it obvious when it's ready. You flick the switch, it beeps, and the three blue lights come on, but if you try scanning immediately, you can't. It takes about 5 seconds after you've turned it on before it will actually scan. I would rather not see the blue lights until the device is ready to scan. Sadly I don't think this device is firmware updatable either so that probably won't ever be fixed. Finally, I was having some issues with the scanner, and hopped on their website, expecting to need to email them, but there was a live chat available. I didn't wait more than a minute for someone, and they were extremely helpful answering my questions and pointing me to specific pages of the manual. I then had to email in later asking for documention on resetting the device, but why this reset procedure isn't available on the website is beyond me. I wasn't expecting good customer service, but what I got was great and it gives me confidence with this brand I've never purchased from before. I hope in future versions, they make more useful quick code cards and can edit their manual, otherwise, a good device.

This arrives in a small plain brown cardboard box with a sticker on the front to tell you what it is. The box measures approx 17cm x 11.5cm x 4cm. Inside you get the mini scanner, a dongle a cable (USB to USB C) set into a foam cut out cushion with the warranty, instructions & credit card sized/shape printed barcodes to enable various functions. This scanner is teeny compared to other regular handheld ones I have & lightweight enough you can use the included wrist strap to leave it dangling from your wrist between use without it feeling too heavy. It is around 11cm long, about 5cm wide & just over 2cm deep at the widest points (it's all slightly rounded shapes so hard to measure). This is plug & play, it charges easily & seems to work well. There is a tiny switch beside the charging point on the end you need to use to turn it on - if it's on there are blue lights on it & it makes beeping sounds. When you use it there will be more beeps - you have to depress the button on the top just below the blue lights which makes a white light shine out of the scanner end with the red detector area in the middle & when it gets a code in focus it beeps & reads it. The little switch you turn on & off is my only real issue with this. It's so tiny & low profile that if you don't have nails it can be really hard to move it. I was unable to move it with the pads of my fingers even though I really tried, so if you don't have any nails at all this might be more trouble than it's worth.

This portable bluetooth barcode scanner from ScanAvenger is very cool and ticks a lot of boxes - properly portable, rechargeable battery, easy to use (once setup), quick and has a built in LED torch which is super helpful and guarantee's consistent scans even in dark spaces. Unfortunately it's relatively confusing for the non-tech savy to setup initially - as the process involves scanning a barcode from the instruction booklet to set it into the bluetooth search mode in order to connect it to a device. Would be so much more practical to have a tiny button on the handheld itself. Once it's connected, it'll reconnect without too much of an issue but if you're jumping between devices it can be annoying. However, that all said it's a minor negative on a product of many positives - it's super portable, handy and easy to use once all connected. It's designed well (Except for the tiny power switch), feels super durable and the torch is a massive time saver.

It is also able to detect barcodes at various ranges between 1 and 5 inches, unlike some at work that have to be practically touching the barcode. So far has no difficulty reading both large, small barcodes and has done so with speed and 100% accuracy. Very good product and excellent value for money.

This is a handheld barcode scanner that comes in a plain box. It's rechargable and good quality. It vibrates for use in noisy environments. You can upload the bar codes to pc instantly. My son wanted this and he's hapoy with it. I think it's a reasonable price too.

This is a wonderful little scanner. It really performs as good as any one I've tried. The pack comes with the palm-sized scanner, Bluetooth dongle, charging lead and instruction sheets. It had a charge already but doesn't take long to fully charge and it seems to last for hundreds of actuations without losing any charge. There's a small slide switch at the back to turn it on and off, and a large button on the top to activate it. There are blue flashing lights and vibration to provide haptic feedback in noisy environments. Scanning is very quick, with an illuminated area plus focus red circle to help aim. It reads barcodes, QR codes, etc., without problem. The instructions have lots of barcodes to scan and change various settings (such as store mode or transmit mode, sound on/off, etc.). Best photocopy them as it's stuck without them. I've been using it to test a POS system extension I'm developing for a retail chain. It's better than some scanners I've been using, that's for sure. I'll also be using it to catalogue my art supplies by printing barcodes for consumables and scanning them as I use them. Great scanner. Easy to set up and the ability to store codes until you're in range of the computer makes it very versatile too.

Similarly to the full sized scanner, I am only currently able to test this at home, until next weekend when I return to work. Scans all the common barcodes that you would usually find in on everyday essentials and food products. No exception found at present. This one is fully wireless via bluetooth or its own 2.4ghz adapter. Scan resolution time is fast, comfortable to hold in your hand and honestly, works much better than the £150 ones we have in work right now. Again, this will be updated once I have tested it in a professional scenario but for right now, it's done everything as expected with no faults.

This Barcode scanner is proving so handy for my work. I regularly complete jobs in my line of business where there is a requirement to scan barcodes, while using mobile devices to capture the transaction. Before purchasing this scanner, the process was using the inbuilt camera on an Android phone, which was frankly a painfully slow experience, especially in lower lighting conditions. This scanner has transformed the process, saving a lot of time. Scanning is really easy, pull the trigger and the device fires out a good amount of light and the barcode is quickly scanned. It’s also tiny compared to full sized scanners, easily fitting into your pocket. This is especially useful as I’m out and about on the road all day. Programming is also really easy, all done by scanning specific QR or barcodes, to change many settings, such as bleep volume, speed of scan and Bluetooth pairing. After looking on the manufacturers website, I can confirm there are many configurations that can be applied to suit many requirements. Pairing over Bluetooth is simple, scan a QR code to unpair from any saved devices, scan another QR code to enter pairing mode, the device will then show up on your phone, you’re then a simple tap away from being good to go. I tried the pairing process on both my iPhone and Android phone, the process was flawless for both devices. I’ve found the battery life to be excellent. Charging is via an included USB-A to USB-C cable. No power supply was included, but you can charge it from any standard USB charger. The scanner feels well made, with decent quality plastics used. Overall I’m very happy with this scanner. It’s done everything I’ve asked of it very well and is so compact.

This is a great little scanner! I really like how small and light weight it is! I definitely recommend!

The only thing it seems to scan reliably are the various codes on the cards that come with the device. It had problems scanning UPS bar codes and barcodes of computer serial numbers and this is what I need the thing to do... It doesn't cost much so that's a plus, but it doesn't perform all that well for me.
